King’s College School cost €75 million, spans over 40,000 square meters, and features an indoor swimming pool and a sports pavilion.

As the new academic year begins on September 22, King’s College School is preparing to open the doors of its latest project: a brand-new campus in Cascais.

The project represents a €75 million investment—the largest ever made in a single school in Portugal. The campus covers more than 40,000 square meters and includes international-standard sports fields, a sports pavilion capable of hosting major events, a 25-meter indoor training pool for year-round use, a state-of-the-art auditorium, classrooms equipped with cutting-edge technology, university-level science laboratories, and dedicated spaces for creative and performing arts.

‘This school marks a milestone for Portugal, as for the first time we have a school whose infrastructure and quality rival the best in the world,’ highlights John Leitão, CEO of Inspired Education Group in Portugal. ‘This investment reflects our commitment to equipping the country with a world-class educational facility, featuring cutting-edge technology and exceptional infrastructure, offering a unique academic, cultural, and international experience,’ adds John Leitão.

In addition to the start of the new academic year, a new boarding program will also be launched. The school will be one of the first private colleges in Portugal to offer this type of experience. The residence is ready to accommodate around 50 students aged 13 and above, placing them in an international environment.

Starting September 22, King’s College School Cascais will welcome students aged 7 to 18. From Year 1 to Year 5, families can choose the Bilingual Pathway—a program that integrates the Cambridge curriculum with the Portuguese Ministry of Education curriculum. From Year 7 to Year 13, students follow the Cambridge international English curriculum.
